Nigeria ex-international, Odion Ighalo, finally realized his childhood dream of playing for Manchester United when he finally made his debut on Monday night against Chelsea.
Ighalo was a last minute acquisition for Manchester United on transfer deadline day as United sought a direct replace for injured Marcus Rashford, who is expected to be out at least 3 months.
With United leading 2–0 at Stamford Bridge, Ighalo was introduced on the stroke of 90 minutes to replace Anthony Martial who had scored the first goal of the match.
Ighalo immediately got involved in the action as he was presented with a glorious opportunity in the 93rd to grab a score on his debut, unfortunately he could not beat the Willie Caballero in goal for Chelsea in a one-on-one situation.
As a result, Ighalo makes history by becoming the first Nigerian to ever play for Manchester United and also the 200th player to make a debut for United in the Premier League.
Congratulations to Jude Odion Ighalo.
