Rave of the moment, Naira Marley has taken a sly dig at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in the aftermath of his travails in the hands of the anti-corruption agency.
In what appears to be a practice for what may be a song in the making, the Mafo crooner seemed to make a jest of the EFCC stating that…
“They thought they paid for petition, yet they for my promo. Now everybody is screaming my name”
Of a truth, Naira Marley was a previously unkown artist until his arrest by the EFCC. His ordeal attracted the attention of millions around Nigeria and the world. Naira Marley has gone on to become a huge success since he regained freedom and has built something of a cult-following, especially among the youths, who identify themselves as Marlians in his honour.
He recently established his own Music record label which he named “Marlian Music Imprint” and has signed some of Nigeria’s young talented artists including Mohbad, Zinoleesky, C Black and Fabian Blu.
