The honourable Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo (SAN) has blamed his party, APC, for the loss of some states to the opposition at election tribunals.
The Supreme Court had earlier sacked APC’s Lyon David and ordered the swearing in of PDP’s Diri Douye.
Festus Keyamo bemoaned the inability of his party, APC, to hold on to their victories at the polls urging the party to look inwards and work on its internal party mechanism to prevent similar incidences from happening again. He also commended the Supreme Court for being firm and resolute in handling pre-election cases and Election Petitions.
Meanwhile following the ruling of the apex court PDP’s Diri Douye has been sworn in as the governor of Bayelsa state. After his swearing in, Douye proceeded to pay a courtesy visit to former President, Goodluck Jonathan where he presented his Certificate of Return to the former President.

The S/Court has been firm & resolute so far regarding pre-election cases & Election Petitions. I commend their lordships. As a party, we have to look at our own internal party mechanisms that make us give our victories needlessly away to the opposition & take appropriate actions
